Q1 project - process post

I have just finished my sketch for this piece. I am planning on doing oil painting this time as I did that over the summer, and I really enjoyed it. My goals for this piece were using my own reference photos and scale which I already completed both, so yay! I like how this piece is looking so far as I am enjoying using a more close up type perspective on the animals compared to what I did before. I think this makes the process more enjoyable for me, and I am excited to see where this takes me. Along with this in my sketch you can see that I am planning to add a ribbion around the main duck's mouth and little speech bubbles around the background duck/goose. This is to go with my theme which has been like odd one out and ignorance/isolation. In this way the main duck is silenced while the two birds in the background talk without paying any attention to the issues of the one of the front. This is also supposed to show loneliness in a sense. I am really excited to see where this piece takes me.
