Process Post - Project #5

I did a process critique for this project because Shreeya and I were setting up our art show! My goals for this piece are the size of the canvas, which I increased, and using aquatic/underwater animals. I am doing seals this time, and using a blue/teal color as my main color. I am going to add a contrasting color in pink for string wrapping around one of the seals as it sinks to show how it is drowning when no other seal is helping. It is a play on my usual theme of odd one out along with environmental themes. This piece is going to be challenging because I am using more animals than I have done in the past, but I do like the results of using multiple animals. I think it makes the scene have more life. The size is also going to be a challenge as I am not a face painter, so I might struggle with getting it done, but we will get through it! I am excited to continue this piece because I really like the underwater aspect, and the composition of it! I think it will be very fun to paint and work on.
