Project 7 + home project process

This project took me a very long time because I expanded my scale a lot as part of my goals. I started doing underpainting with this piece, which I think was helpful in the end towards speeding up my process a little bit. I think for my next piece I am going to try to do a more defined actual under painting in hopes that it will help me speed up my process. I really like how this piece went with the amount of detail I had and the ranges of values I had. I think my lighting and light source could have been improved as well which I think I could also do through adding an underpainting. I like how I was able to the get the form and values of rocks during this piece though, and I think by the end I was able to move through doing them at a good pace. I really liked this piece, and I think it set me up good for my next piece with understanding the amount of detail that I like. One thing I really liked about this piece was that when you are far away it kinda all blends together, but when you get in close to it, you can really see all the individual details. I think it makes people look closer at my work, and I kinda want to do something similar for my next piece. I think this piece will fit very well in my senior show, and it is honestly one of my favorite pieces I have made. I think it will draw in the attention to my show. I am excited for my next piece off of this one, but I think this one might still be one of my favs.
