Process Post - Project #4

I really like the direction that I am going in with this piece. I like the color pallete I am using because I haven't worked with much purple before, so it is fun to experiment with. I am a bit scared to take on painting so many animals as this is the biggest group that I have done, but I think it will be fun still. I am excited to paint the baby penguins in the front the most. I took a process critique last time, and I think that was a good choice because I would not have gotten this done for the last in class critique, but I think this work will turn out well or at least I hope so. I find working with oil paints really enjoyable, so I am having a fun time painting this. Even though it is a big group of animals I like painting penguins because they have a simple shape like a lump. I have never painted penguins before so this is a new experience for me, but I like painting birds in general. Penguins are no different they are so cute and fun to paint! I can't wait to continue this pieces as I like the direction I am going in. I think the purple and yellow will look really good together.
