I have really just gotten a good start on painting, and right now I am focusing on putting a lot of detail to the rock in the foreground as detail in foreground was one of my goals. While painting detail is definitely a time consuming process, I am really enjoying the process of painting this rock so far, and I think taking a process critique was a good move to get the amount of detail I want to achieve in this piece. I think I am doing a good job at the moment of capturing the detail of the moss and texture of the rock on my painting, and once I finish this portion of the rock I am going to do the rest of the "framing" section or rock. I am also excited to start painting the goats as I have not painted goats before yet and they look pretty fun to paint. I think I might try to add some abstraction to the goat in the sky or the area surrounding the goat, like the clouds to add some juxtaposition to the piece which might be fun. I think I could better play on this abstraction with beads which would be a new way to include the beads. Overall I have been having a fun time with this piece, and I am excited to keep working on it.
