Noelani Jones Lecture Reaction :D

I liked this lecture a lot, I thought Noelani Jones's method of expressing herself through art and weaving was quite interesting and cool! I have never really done weaving before or looked at it through an artistic lens, but now I can really understand all the time and thought that goes into the process. The fact that she makes her own yarn and dyes it herself is so unique, and it really adds to the effect of her pieces. I love how she bases a lot of her works on nature and takes inspiration from the world around her. I might try to include some elements of nature in my work too because I think it would improve some of the underlying messages in my work. I am very interested in the process of weaving, and how these pieces come along. I would also love to learn more about how she knew weaving was the right course for her because I can really struggle with choosing the main mediums to use since there are so many. Again, this lecture was such a good experience, and I look forward to more lectures in the future!
