Home Project- Process post

For my first home project I am doing a painting of pandas sitting around a table! Right now I have only done the sketch of my painting, and I slightly warped the perspective of the table to better show different angles of the pandas instead of all being from sideways or head on. This piece is supposed to subtly represent the different paths you can choose in life through animals. I love expressing my paintings through animals and nature. The meaning of this piece originates from the idea that pandas are bears that are endangered partly because of their poor diet choices of bamboo which is not the most nutrition-dense food for a bear to eat (as pandas do have the digestive system of a carnivore). However pandas are seen as friendly herbivores because they are non-violent creatures that don't kill. This represents the choice of life as you could always be pushing yourself, but lose others as you try to hard, or you could take an easier and happier path that might not be the most rewarding but others will love you. I cannot wait to work on this piece more, and I plan on adding beads to this piece too! I want to keep those elements of beads and animals throughout my pieces.
