Abstract Painting- Blog Post #1

These are pictures of my abstract paintings after the first day and after the second day. I have liked the process so far, and I think it is fun! It is quite hard at some points, as there are some times when I get stuck and do not know what to add next. However, it is still fun to experience as I have never tried abstract art before. I like all the colors I added on the second day as I think my painting was looking a little dull after just the first day. I think I added a lot more nice color and contrast on the second day compared to the first. I think I want to focus on adding more texture on the third day. I want to add thick texture to the painting in some areas to make it pop and stick out at some points. I think this will add a great deal of message and value to the painting compared to if it lacks any texture. I am very excited to continue working on it on Wednesday, and I think I can improve it, so it better expresses the emotions I want to portray.
